5 Tips to improve your Breaks and Paddles

In this hoop tutorial, Ann Humphreys breaks down each movement that incorporates breaks and paddles. Ann recommends when starting to learn breaks and paddles, that you start paddling at the waist.

Ann explains how breaking and paddling are 2 very separate actions, paddling is guiding the hoop into its current, whereas breaking is breaking the motion of the hoop to send it off to the opposite current..

When breaking and paddling, it is important to also make sure that your feet are also co-operating in the flow of the movement, like twisting into the break. One of the few things that Ann recommends is that you start with a larger hoop. When you have the move, practice it in slow movement, try not to rush into it.

This is a brilliant tutorial, thanks Ann!
